City of Gresham Building Division Takes Model Home to ACE - 6/29/10
On June 10 and 11 staff members from the Building Division were invited to present their model home display to students at the Oregon Building Congress Academy for Architecture, Construction and Engineering (ACE).
ACE is a public, tuition-free charter high school drawing students from Centennial, Gresham-Barlow, Parkrose and Reynolds school districts. Using examples in the model home, staff demonstrated correct building methods for framing and shear walls, structural post and beam, stairwells and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations. The demonstration was very well received by the students and teachers at ACE.
