BDS Team delivers at Parkrose FixIt Fair - 1/16/09

Saturday the Bureau of Development Services teamed up with the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability for another successful Fix It Fair held at Parkrose High School. This was a great opportunity or the citizens to gain knowledge of the bureau's services and ask questions on specific projects they may be planning to do their residences.

Inspection Manager Jim Nicks and Outreach Program Coordinator Tiffani Penson teamed up again to answer and provide information to the hundreds of attendees. As a true and tried team player Jim also brought along his wife Cindy who helped set up the table and networked with the other participants on behalf of the bureau and to gain knowledge of potential projects for Jim to do around the house.

The very popular water heater class was taught by Senior Residential Combination Inspector McKenzie James and it was a sold out audience. The helpful instruction on how to install and maintain a water heater has proven year after year to be valuable information for attendees.
